FWIW, it's for a class (or series of classes) at NWU. I'd have to check at home for the exact title/publisher - if somebody oesn't chime in, drop me an email (not private message) and I'll get it for you. Could someone PLEASE snail mail me a photocopy? If anyone would be willing to mail me a photocopy, email me and I'll get you my address.

This was back when I lived in Evanston for a few months in 1987. I practiced those exercises for years before I began applying the expansion concept to everything I do. Aside from its expanding structure, the other major difference between my version of the exercise and the original is that I have added a lip bend to that first descending half step.
I did this because I prefer to do long tones that have lip bends in them. That said, I do consider these flow studies to be good long tones. If you understand the flow study concept, you know that they are often also referred to as 'moving long tones.' I stopped doing stattic long tones long ago.
